Symptoms / Diagnosis

General sleep time is shortened, or deep sleep duration is insufficient. Some patients have difficulties falling asleep while others may wake up multiple times during the night. In serious cases, they may not get much sleep at all. Patients may also have dizziness, heart palpitation, forgetfulness, and tiredness.

What Happens During The Treatment?

Step 1:

Settle into a comfortable room with soft music and mood lighting to relax the senses.

Step 2:

Pre-selected herb concoction will be placed into two electrode foot tubs.

Step 3:

Submerge feet into the warm herbal bath with a mild electrical current, which will be adjusted to induce a light and gentle tingling sensation. The feet will be soaked in the warm tub for a maximum of 20 minutes.

Step 4:

The feet are cleansed with water at the end of treatment.

What To Expect During The Treatment?

You may feel slight pins and needles or a tingling sensation during this treatment that should be within your comfort range.

How Many Sessions Are Needed To See Improvement And How Often?

We recommend at least 6 sessions for sustained improvement of the sleep condition. Treatment should be done once a week or more to see better results. Symptom reduction varies among individuals, depending on the severity and length of time in which the condition has persisted. We typically see our patients’ conditions improve after 3 treatment sessions.

Is It a Safe Treatment?

Iontophoresis is generally considered to be a safe procedure.

Iontophoresis also stimulates the local circulation and hence there may be a slight reddening of the skin after treatment, which should subside on its own after a few hours.

Who Are a Suitable For This Treatment?

Generally, Wellness Herb Ionto is suitable for most people except for women who are pregnant or those with epilepsy history, heart conditions or are using pacemakers or have metal implants.

Patients should delay treatment if they have a recent wound, skin graft, or scar in the area requiring treatment, as iontophoresis may be painful and the treatment less effective.

Are There Any Post Treatment Advisory?

  • The patient will be provided with an exercise manual and if necessary
  • During this period, make sure you consume more nutritious foods and stay away from cold beverages.
  • Try to avoid stressful or emotional situations as much as possible.
